How it works
How a case runs here
Six steps, the same for every case, whichever side you are on.
- 01
Step 1: You send the papers
The complaint you were served, the demand letter, or the contract in dispute. A paragraph on what happened is enough to start.
- 02
Step 2: We check for conflicts
Before we read anything sensitive, we make sure we don't already represent the other side. Then we set a video call.
- 03
Step 3: The case assessment
Both lawyers meet you by video and then write up what the case is about, what it is worth fighting over, and the fee for each stage.
- 04
Step 4: You sign for one stage
An engagement letter covers that stage only, with its fee and what it leaves out. Nothing else is promised or billed.
- 05
Step 5: Each stage ends with a report
A short written account of where the case stands, what the other side has done, and the price of the next stage.
- 06
Step 6: The case ends
By settlement, a ruling, a verdict or an arbitrator's decision. We close the file in writing and return anything left in trust.
By video
A Charlotte firm that meets you where you are
Clients across the state meet us on a video call, from their office or their truck. Documents come through a secure upload link, and signatures are electronic.
We go to court in person when a hearing or trial requires it, and the engagement letter says what travel costs. For everything else, from the first call to a deposition prep, a screen is enough.
Video meetings at times that suit a working day
Secure document upload, no couriers
Electronic engagement letters

Start with the papers
Upload nothing confidential yet. A few lines on the dispute and the deadline you are facing are enough for us to reply.
